Our mission is two fold. Firstly to provide a family day out by putting on a ploughing match and agricultural demonstrations, which will enable ploughmen (and women) a route to the national finals. And secondly to raise money for charity.
Our events take place on the first Sunday of September each year, and we are indebted to local farmers who provide us with land to hold them.
We hold an AGM in early February each year where senior committee members are elected or re-elected, and this is also when we arrange donations to our chosen charities.
We are associated with the Society Of Ploughmen, who are the main governing body for ploughing in the UK.
Our Committee Chairman is Ben Ashdown
Our Secretary is Mrs Diana Wimble
Our Treasurer is Alan Higgs
Our chosen charities are the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, and the local RNLI stations at Dungeness and Littlestone.
